Okay not a lot of Chit Chat just want to update some pictures of cards hope you all enjoy!!

Over a month again

Can't believe it's been over a month again. I was busy this month doing cards for Cards of Hero's. This is one of the most fulfilling things I've done.

Have a meeting at church tonight so I will try to post some new cards I have done either tomorrow or Wednesday. Just wanted to pop in to say hi and let you know I'm still here!!! LOL

Another sketch card

Here is a fun card I made from Firecracker Designs by Pamela (FCD) sketch sample.

This uses the Double Bugging Technique I learned on Technique Junkies (TJ).

Me again

Memorial Day was my last post....I can't beleive how the time has flown by. Been busy with personal stuff and catching up on some swaps. Doing some of the new techniques in the Technique Junkies Newsletter...really love to try as many as I can.

Actually been pretty boring around here. Oh the garden...can't believe how great it is doing!!! We just finished off the radishes, what a difference when you pick them from the garden. Everything else is growing enormous!! I will have to take a picture the leaves on the yellow squash are so big and the tomatoe plants are huge and flowering. We have been fortunate in rain for the garden but pretty miserable on the spirit!!! Just finished a few days! It looks like more today. I think it has rained more than shined here lately!!

Above are some things I've done. The first one is wet stenciling, the second is double bugging, and the third one is just me playing with my markers. Both of the first two cards were made with techinques from Technique Junkie.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend

Yuck it's raining here today...this is the day we have the big parade. It actually starts right across from my house...it's so neat seeing everyone line up...especially the little ones (dancers, brownies, cub scouts those little ones) they all want to go in different directions. They are more interested in the horses, fire engines, and those silly little Shriner's cars. I guess they will postpone it now until Monday.

Good stamping day!!! I have only made a few cards since I last posted...which actually wasn't that long ago...trying to get better. They are the same image but different color combinations. They are both for Gingersnap Creations Group. They have a lot of fun things to do and I love their challenges.

Both cards were done with Leplume Markers...I 'm sort of getting the idea of how to use markers. Everything I did before came out way to dark. I finally got the pastel colors along with several others and am learning how to combine them for a more natural look.

Last night I did for the first time in a very long time a colored pencil image. I did it with my Primsa watercolor pencils and it looked so neat I decided not to blend it just leave it as is. I will design a card this weekend and hopefully post before the end of the weekend.

Car's back

Well my car is back and tomorrow I will have to go to work for a while. Then I will have to do some errands.

Okay curious about who won out..stamping or cleaning...both...LOL. My cat decided to get sick on my rug upstairs so out came the rug shampooer. Now you know you can't just clean one spot not on a beige rug that has two dogs and one cat all over it. After a 4 hour project I was finally done...nap time. That was my first day...today play! Did my usual chores and then did some playing.

The first card was just a simple black, red and white for a challenge. The second card is for another challenge using kraft, baja, and eggplant for colors, these were the closet colors I had.

The image was done with Leplume markers which I am still learning to use. Both were done for Stamp TV..if you have never visited there do. Gina K has some great tutorials and they have some fun challenges.

Well guess that's all for tonight will spend sometime tomorrow wandering around all my blogger friends sites!!!

Monday...UGH

Tis monday morning and I just don't want to wake up. Had a busy weekend (for me anyway). Did my favorite things though, church projects, yard sales, and of course stamping...

My dad's car broke down so he has mine for the next few days so I'm home stuck for a few days...now my big problem is what I should do housework - stamping. Stamping -housework I'll let you know which one wins out. If I start stamping I won't get anything else done.

Today is a card share from my friend Lori....She is the Moderator of The United Stamp Group and this is a swap card that she made me. Isn't it Pretty? How about that envelope...I giggled when I saw it.

Well off to decide what to do today.....

Woo Hoo two days in a row

Hello everyone..had a great day sun was out and I was feeling creative!! I'm only posting one card today so I can give some information about it.

This is the "BENCH CARD" and the reason I say this is I wanted a bench that looked like a park bench so I ordered the one from Flower Soft and when it arrived lo and behold tis a little big. I wanted one I could incorporate into scenery....LOL This is really cool though it has all sorts of things to put on the bench, hat, book, cat. As you can see I choose the hat and it is also made to be use with the Flower Soft. I put it on the hat and a little around the bench. If you are interested in the Flower Soft stamp set you can order it from www.flower-soft.com. They of course carry the Flower Soft also. I will be purchasing my Flower Soft from Pam at Fire Cracker Designs by Pamela (www.firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com) I think her service is superb and she gets things shipped quickly. I had to wait for this for a while from Flower Soft Co.

I used my favorite watercolor crayons to color in the image.

Been a while again!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying spring. I have been busy making spring cards and watching my DH plant a garden!!! He's never done this before and I truly am amazed at how well he's doing. Came in all excited yesterday because he has actually seen two rows of raddishes growing so now he's convinced he's got a green thumb! We'll see when it comes time to weeding..told him this is his project not mine..I don't mind going to the grocery store and picking my veggies right from the shelf! So far he's planted strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and rasberries. Squash, zuccinni, lettuce, green peppers, spinach an I don't know what else!!! He wanted to do asparagus but I informed him if he liked the foundation on the house not to do that!

Need to do some blog hopping myself and checking out what you all have been up too! Here's some more of my cards and I hope you enjoy.

Wow it's thursday already! I have had a fun week creating so I have a few more cards to show you.

Relax is for Father's Day and is done with Firecraker Designs By Pamela except for bench which is from NJ's Garden Set. This is the first bench stamp I've owned and I am having so much fun with it.

Last is Happy Spring and bird is a Martha Stewart stamp and flowers are NJ Garden Set.

I just got this garden set from Nancy Judd and I am having so much fun with it. I still have a lot of stamps to use!!!

Good morning and Happy Easter!! Hope the bunny left you lots of chocolate!!!! I was hoping for M &M's but apparently when I said I had sworn off them my DH took me serious!!

Just a quick post and a few pictures today. I recently got the Garden Set from Nancy Judd's Rare Image Rubber Stamps What a great set. I especially love the bench...so of course I got it Friday, they were cut and ready to go Friday night!!! That's called stampers OCD!! Then of course I had to stamp a few images. I was able to put them away til morning (very hard). As soon as I got my work done of Saturday I ran to my stamping room and the above are the ATC's and a card I made. If you have never seen her stamps take a look. She only has two sets, but I have both and they are fantastic. Also while you are there take a look at her cards. She is one of the most creative people I know!!!

Hello all

Good morning from Rhode Island. Been busy stamping and just doing some laid back stuff!

Jan, Feb and Mar were not the greatest at my compound!! We own two house we live in one and two of my sons live in the other...so they have nicknamed it Mom's compound! We had that horrible flu that was going around and it just kept coming back again. So the first warmish day I opened all the window and sprayed the whole house with Lysol. Don't know if it really helped but we have been getting better...if nothing else the house had a whole new smell...something like lysol!

I have enclosed some pictures this is only a fraction on what I have done...just don't want to burn you out!! LOL

Pigment Scrunch

Good morning everyone!! It's like 5:30am I have had no coffee...and I took my bone supplement pill and can't lay down for an hour. So I though I take this useless brain and try to explain how I made the Pigment Scrunch without Pigment ink. Doesn't make sense already huh?

I don't have any pigment inks but my fav place in the whole cyber space Techniuqe Junkies had a tech using it.

I actually did it two ways one with Gesso and one with Acrylic Paint.

Gesso

For this you will need

1. Aluminum foil

2. Gesso

3. 2 or 3 dye

4. plastic cover (or wax paper)

5. brayer (with hard rubber roller)

6. card stock

7. spritzer bottle with water

First take your aluminum foil and scrunch it. Re-open it being careful not to tare and flatten but make sure you leave wrinkles in.

Then take your Gesso and put a dab (about the size of a quarter) add reinker a drop at a time. Mix with toothpick to desired color. Do this with all colors and spacing about 2" apart (or length of brayer).

Roll your brayer through all three mixes (being careful not to muddy them) and then onto the aluminum foil leaving enough mix on roller to lightly cover it. Ramdomly roll gently onto card stock. Make sure before you roll the mix onto the card stock that you can see texture on the roller. Repeat until desired look is accomplished.

Acrylic Paint

Put acrylic paint onto plastic cover or wax paper and then just spritz with a little water also spacing the paints.

Repeat with all other steps. I also added a little more green with brayer after, to get more green on the background (the pink one)

Cards From the Netherlands

Today I wanted to Post some cards received from Hetty Sanders from the Netherlands. She and I met over at Technique Junkies and one thing led to another and we started doing a monthly swap. It has been so much fun getting her cards she is a very artistic lady.

She does a lot of Michael Strong images as seen in the butterflies. I am missing a few of her cards and will have to take some more pictures.

more flowers

Good morning. I made some more flowers only this time I did them in two tone like colors. Instead of my punch I used the Lil Sizzix flower template (went much faster). Actually it was another Technique Junkie Judy Cantrell who emailed and said she had made some of these flowers also only she did hers in two tone of like colors. So I had to try some!!

Thanks Judy for sharing this tip with me! I like the way these came out also.

Faux Felt Flowers

I just made these flowers with a Technique from Tjer's. Very simple to do. You take your crimper and run card stock through it. First go one way and then turn and go in opposite direction. Then put it through again on Diagonal first one way then the other. This breaks the paper down and you then can separate it into two pieces by peeling them apart starting at a corner. The inside of the two pieces looks just like felt.

I used two different punches a small flower and a small pinwheel flower. I used Elmer's glue to put them together. I like the white ones the best they remind me of daises. These you just line up the with petals side by each. I 'm sure you can see in the picture. I also made a border by punching the flowers equal distances apart and punched the centers out in between the flowers. Waste not want not!!!

Boy do I ever need to catch up again. I hopefully will get some done tonight or by the weekend!!! Or...................
