Bugaboo Challenge

Hi my Stamping Buddies,

Here I am again doing my favorite thing Challenges!!! The fun is to create something that I would probably not have thought of or tried. This week Bugaboo had challenge called Valentine's with a Twist. We had to use non traditional colors. So I tried to get as far away as I could. Here is my entry hope you all like it!!!

The stamp is a Bugaboo Stamps http://www.bugaboostamps.com/ it is a digi stamp. I'm not sure where the papers came from. The heart punch is from EK Success.
Hope you all enjoy my effort and once again thanks for visiting!!

Card for Saturday Night Spotlight Challenge SSHP15

This is a record two posts in one day!!!

I was just messing around on some blog pages and I saw this challenge for Saturday Night Spotlight SSHP 15 (great blog by the way!!!!) and since I had the image already colored, I thought oh neat five minutes and I will have a layout. Well three hours later with every piece of yellow, pink, patten paper out I finally came out with a layout!!

The flourish and picture are done with Wax Paper Tech and the image itself is colored with Copics (of course)

Good Morning Friends!!

This is an ATC I did for the Technique Junkies ATC Swap. The image is from BugaBoo digitals. I just found this company as I think they are fairly new. It's a must see for all you Digi lovers! They have the neatest people images...all too funny!!! http://www.catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/ (I think this is right) I just picked up a couple more today. The ATC is done with the Color Outside the Lines Technique and that can be found at Technique Junkies http://www.techniquejunkies.com . It is done with Copic Markers.

I purchase my Copics from ICopic on line http://www.icopic.com/ Hope you don't mind my advertising but I'm not doing it for me, when I find a great place I want to share!!!
I just hope I am giving you the right site addy's. I'm still trying to find out how to link sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn't!!! I'm sure it's operator related!!! LOL

Well have a great day...and stamp stamp stamp!!!!!

Good Monday Morning

Good Morning all!!! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend..today it is very windy here and we are supposed to get a real bad storm!!! So I say that is a good time to stamp stamp stamp!!!
I made two more Valentines cards this morning. I used the cuttlebug smoosh technique from Technique Junkies newsletter. Love my TJer's!!! I don't know how many of you belong to this great web site but for those that do....did you do what I did when I first joined? I made tons of each tech that came out so many that I have had to clean them out...that is not easy to do...but the biggest boo boo I made was not to label any of them. Now four years later I can't remember how and what techs I used!!! LOL Maybe someday I will go all the way back to the beginning and see if I can't match them...probably not!!! If you are not familiar with Technique Junkies they can be found at www.techniquejunkies.com .
Back to the cards I used Color Box white to highlight the white on the boy card and I used SU Pink Passion on the girl card (which will go to my granddaughter in IL).
Glad you stopped by hope to visit some blogs later today...so watch out it might be YOUR's!!!
Have a great day and a blessed one too!!!
Hugs,
Judy

Made a Diary for My Granddaughter

Good morning,

First I want to thank everyone for the wonderful compliments on my Little Book. I was so surprised with all the responses I got.

This is a diary I made for my granddaughter. She loves to read...so that is the theme. The image is from Mo's Digital Stamps (and if I remember correctly it was a freebie). This reminded me of her so much because she can be found reading books almost all the time.

I would have loved to have added some lace and frilly stuff but that is not her style! I think I may be pushing it a little bit with the pearls.

I used SU tempting turquoise (her favorite color) and then sponged on some gold by Color Box.

The words are all computer generated and the beads and shells are from my stash.

Hope she likes it.

Trying Something New

Good Morning All,
Well I'm at it again...I have made mostly cards and a few name frames...so when a challenge was posted on Squigglefly for anything but a card...I decided to make a little book. What was I thinking!!! LOL

The finished piece (I still want to add something to June & July) is somewhat of a resolution book I did by Month!

Hope you like it.
I just realized this also will work for the Gingersnap Creations Resolution Challenge GC36. Woo Hoo two in one love it when that happens!!

Another Take on the Time Challenge

This is a similar card to the one I posted yesterday. I originally was going to make it this way but chickened out ( my conservative side said no no!!) So now that my alter ego won and some gals over at TJ asked me to make the card so they could see it I finally put it together last night.

Have had several possitive comments on it, so that makes me feel good, guess I'll try to let the alter ego out more!!
Thanks again for stopping by hope all you in the Midwest are keeping warm... I couldn't believe the pictures of the buses covered in ice on the internet today now that is cold. It is supposed to get much colder this weekend here, For now all I can complain about is all the little snow storms we have had. We had two days of sunshine and now today it is snowing on and off again!! Never amounts to too much just a pain driving...I don't have to drive anymore.. so I am thankful for that.
Well enough jibber jabber (dating myself) thanks again for stoping by love you all for your support!!
Hugs,
Judy

This challenge is for Gingersnap Creations it's a great group with lots of fun things to do!!! I love doing their challenges...and this one is for the Challenge GC37 Chestnut Theme Challenge- Time.

I used the Faux Designer Paper from Technique Junkies http://techniquejunkes.com/ for the background and the stamps I used are all from Firecracker Designs by Pamela http://firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com/ who has some great stamps and is starting a line of digital stamps also. Check them both out on her web page!

Quick ADD

I did this for a challenge on Squigglefly. The image is by Squigglefly and is a digital image. I colored it in Copic Markers . I added Prima flowers and highlighted them with Stickles (Diamonds), which you can see in the photo for a change. I also highlighted the fur on hat and coat. The love is a sticker by Sticko's.

You can view Digital Images at http://squigglefly.com.

Off to get ready for work (haven't been there in over a month!!!) so thought I should make an effort to go in and let them know I still exist! I hate it when it interferes with my creativity!
My boss has been very good to me in that he allows me to work from home as much as possible!
So I really can't complain.

Okay enough about me....thanks for stopping by have a great day and create create create!!!

Gingersnap Challenge GC35 Green Gold Purple

This was made for the Gingersnap Green Gold and Purple challenge.

I the image I used is from Sweet 'N Sassy digital collection http://www.sweetnsassy.biz/ the name of the set eludes me at the moment. It is a sheet with the images and several verses. Love digital stamps for the versatility of being able to re-size them, this one I made smaller to fit in the circle. I used dew drops for the rain. I also felt like playing with my punches so I chose the heart one for this care.
Okay that's it for now thanks for stopping by. If you're like me please keep warm!!! I hope we have seen the last of snow for a while...it snow for four straight days here...not a lot but just enough for it to make driving tricky!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Judy

Wow where did a month go?

It seems just like yesterday that I posted and yet it is almost a whole month...I know I have done a lot of cards since then (or think I have) I'll have to go see what I can come up with to post.
First I want to wish everyone a Blessed and Prosperous New Year. I pray for all that are out of work or lost income due to the economy plunge this year. Just keep your eyes on Him and He will bring you through...He never leaves us!!! I know this because I retired and am only bringing in a third of my pay...my DH lost a good part of his commissions this year and yet our bills are paid every month and we have food on the table. I thank God every day for every blessing we have.

Now lets see what artwork I have. I just remembered I had to move all my files around because of issues with my computer and I will have to hunt out my pictures...I did make a few Valentines Cards with some cute stamps from Victorine Originalshttp://victorineoriginals.com she has some new ones that came out. The last one is using three of these stamps. I just got them so I haven't had time to get them all ready yet. Check them out I love the two Penguins she has.
Have a great Sunday and hopefully with the Holidays behind me I will have more time to keep up with my blog again.
Hugs to you all
Judy

Winter Wonderland

I saw a challenge listed on Gingersnap Creations and it reminded me of a tutorial that Michelle Zindorff recently did. I love her work and save everyone of her tutorials and always plan to try one. Well I thought the Chilly Waterfront was beautiful so I decided to ues it. I decided to use only the first steps and use a background thopough.

I love using a brayer and don't do it enough!!!

Card was created using SU Temptation Turquoise and Versa Magic Sea Breeze. Snow Flakes are by Firecracker Designs by Pamela http://www.firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com/ and tree is mine. Background is Cuttlebug Snowfakes Embossing Folder.

If you would like to try this card see http://www.zindorf.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/ tutorial #283. I hope to be able to play with more of her artistic tutorials.

Today is Saturday and I had a Great Stamping Week

You know I don't know why as a retired person I look forward to Fridays...I should be full of dread because it's the begining of my DH's weekend. Not the I dread him but just the intruption in routines. He like to take a few naps so I have to be real quiet which is hard for me. I make a lot of noise just putting dishes away!!! I guess it is just habit from all the years I did work.

Hope you all had as great a weekend as I did. How is the Holiday season going for you? Mine is quiet since the children and grandchildren are all grown up. My youngest one is 7 and has always only celebrated Christmas as Jesus's Birthday and their family excanges gifts to celebrate Him.
Well guess that is if for today hope you all have a great weekend....we're supposed to get some snow sometime today. That will be a shock since it was in the 50's yesterday!!

Shy Bear Santa Hat Saturday Spotlight

Hi All,

Well today is Sunday and I hope all had a very Happy Thanksgiving. I did and I still recuperating today. DH and mostly did nothing all day...of course a nothing day for me is no housework....doesn't include stamping so I had a chance to make a card for the Saturday Night Spotlight. I didn't have just a hat stamp so I used on of my Shy Bear...he's in a wreath and wearing a Santa Hat.

I decided to make a fence based on the TJ Tech Faux Painted Panel... only instead of cutting out the panels (which I do a lousy job at) I used my ScorePal to make lines, and use my Scallop SU punch to make the top of the fence. So of course I wanted the wreath to hang on it which meant I had to cut it out. Very time consuming with all the little leaves, but I managed to do it and not cut off one leaf. It was colored with Copic Markers and for the fur on the hat I applied Aileene's Glitter Snow. It didn't glitter as much as I wanted so I put a layer of Stickles Silver Ice.
It's hard to see the fence but since this is all about the hat...I will scan another picture with a background paper later on. Although I don't think it will show up that much either way.
This is such a cute image and I really like how the card came out!! Image is by Squigglefly Digital Stamps.
Well that is it for now hope you enjoyed my post and card as much as I enjoyed your stopping by!!
Hugs and Blessings,
Judy

Monochromatic Challenge

Hi All hope you had a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving...I got to play a little in my craft room so I did this Monochromatic Card for a Challenge at Gingersnap Creations. It really looks better in real life but it has that sort of old look to it. I used shades of grey (very dark grey for brads) some might think they are black but it's still in the family right? LOL The card just had a blah look without them. Well time for me to start getting ready for bed so will post some more over the weekend! Opps the image is by Victorine Originals!!

Happy Turkey Day

Just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and may the Lord bless you all, may He watch over those of you who will be traveling to be with loved ones and see you safely to your destination and home again. May He also bestow many blessings upon each and everyone of you throughout the coming year!

And for a little I candy. I was truly blessed when this special lady asked me to be on her design team. I learned so much from her and my fellow DT members that year. I'm still learning from her through her website http://firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com/ and her blog http://pamelasgallery.com/ .

She is now also designing Digital images to add to her already marvelous rubber stamp collection. Here are a couple of her latest designs that inspired me to make these cards.
Probably will be busy over the next few days so have a wonderful Thanksgiving Everyone!!!

Blessings and Hugs,
Judy

Happy Evening All!

I've been trying to get to this post all day...so here I sit waiting for midnight and Squigglefly's new releases!

But tonight my post is all about Victorine Originals and some great images that I have turned into cards. http://www.victorineoriginals.com/

Sit back relax and I hope you enjoy!!!

The ornament is a very simple image in it is only the outline. This just lets your creativity go crazy finding ways to fill it in. I probably would have kept going with this ornament but I had other images I wanted to post. Like the Poinsettia and the winter scene. Various techniques were used here including three from Technique Junkies www.techniquejunkies.com
and they are the three ornaments.
The winter scene was brayered and touched up with Copic Markers and the Poinsettia was colored with Copic Markers.
Well hope you enjoyed my little show and thanks so much for stopping by!!! : )

Okay so call me a bad mom but every year my son goes on a diet and he looses some weight but then puts it back on again. So I couldn't resist this Shy Bear Image for a New Year's card for him. Good thing I raised him with a wonderful sense of humor!!
I colored with Copics and Happy New Year and New Year Resolution where computer generated.
Hope you all had a happy weekend and stamped your little hearts out I did!!! LOL
