The Bloggers Challenge Travel

Good Afternoon,

Here is my card for this weeks Travel Challenge.  She is off to explore Paris.  I used a Dover Digital for the lady and colored her with my favorite "Copic Markers" coloring tool.  The luggage tag is from JSIM Digital Stamps and the last three are from CanStock Photo.  It is a site I discovered while surfing the Internet for digitals and clip art.  I have bought several images from them now and love them  all.
All papers are from my paper stock and I have no idea who's is who's because I am a paper hoarder!!! I see it I want it!  Then I added some raffia grass to the tag and black pearls for accent on verse and for buttons on the jacket.
I think it came out pretty good and I think my creative juices are kicking in again.
Thanks for looking
Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge Buttons

Good morning   It sure has been a while!!  Was hoping to be back by the beginning of September but things were still crazy around here.  DH is now siding the house with cedar shingles and adding a porch. Although he is doing the work he keeps me busy fetching!

Not a real difficult card but when I saw the Buttons I wanted to use this paper by Steady On.  The label was computer generated and three of the buttons are raised up...made a cute B Day card.

Opps picked up wrong card this one the tag is wrong in that the h sould have been lower case and the Y should have been upper case...I made a new one and then entered picture of old one...I'm back!!! LOL

Hope all is well with you all.

Hi all my blogging friends

Hi all,  I will be taking off the rest of July and August to do some work for the company I used to work for.  They have asked me to come in and go through all the records to see what needs to be saved and what needs to be shredded.  Some of the records date back to 1999!!  So this is going to be a big task...in all fairness to myself and the challenges I do, I know right now I would not do my best work, so I have made the decision to not play for a while.  I will miss you all very much and see you in September!!!

May God bless you all!

Bloggers Challenge Color Red/Blue/White

Normally Red-White-Blue means 4th of July and fireworks..but since they made them legal here in Rhode Island that is all I have heard every night for about a month I'm about all celebrated out now. So no firework cards this year!!!    Maybe that is the reason for the non traditional cards this year.  I needed two cards for a swap I'm in and I just felt like something different...what can be more fitting at this time of year than to ask for blessings not just for America but for everyone in the world.  I would like to see nothing more than everyone being blessed and peace in the world.
No stamping here again.  Just a little whisped frame around the one verse.  The paper I found free on (computer) scrapbook. com  and they are by an artist named Jeannie Baechtold.  The two verses were printed of my computer using Microsoft Word Art.

This page is still acting up but I just don't have time to fix it.

Well have a great Holiday weekend ...Happy 4th of July be safe and most of all be blessed!!!!

Blessings

Bloggers Challenge Things with Wings

Okay I don't understand but blog is acting up again it is typing everything on the line below until I hit enter then it moves it up good thing this is an easy card!!!
Not sure where background paper came from but it is so great for this image from TLC Creations.  The bird was sitting on a branch but for this card I just wanted the bird.
Just a note is by Rubber Stampede and I stamped it in SU Real Rust. I also used the Real Rust to make a sort of Whisped Frame Technique as seen in the Technique Junkies Newsletter. I then distressed the edges and used more Real Rust to highlight the edges.

Been so busy with church this week and entertaining I didn't get a chance to do this until this morning.
The church pastor has asked me to present to the church a Coupon class/swap.  I have been doing this for several years but got really serious when the economy went south!!!  I haven't paid full price for too many things for quite a while now and this week I actually got 2 Pantene Pro V shampoos for free.  So I will share what knowledge I have and hopefully there will be others that can add information too.  Any gals out there coupon and have any ideas for me?  I just started putting my coupons in a binder with clear sheet of 9 pockets (type like used for ATC's) so that has been a huge help.  Please e-mail me at my email address in the group files if you have any hints!!!

That's all for now
Blessings,
Judy

The Bloggers Challenge 217 Masculine

I saw this technique on Technique Junkies in this months news letter.  http://techniquejunkies.com I thought it would make a unique masculine card.  The clock and the time stamp are by FCD birthday is by Stampendous and verses are by Marleen of
http://disguisedasagrownup.blogspot.com .  This was colored with a Copic Marker.

Have a great weekend may it be blessed and also have a blessed week!

SNSDC6 Happy Father's Day

Here is my submission to the Sweet N Sassy Digital Challenge http://sweetnsassydigis.blogspot.com/ .  I didn't want to do the usual Father's Day card so I thought I'd use some unusual colors.
All paper is from my card stock.  I started with a medium blue and printed a Sweet N Sassy Lighthouse Digital and Happy Father's Day was computer generated. Then I highlighted around the image with Color Box inks using a sponge.  I used the yellow paper to make the image pop.  I then mounted all the layers on a darker blue card.
I like the effect I achieved and this will be for my grandson to give his Dad for Father's Day.  My son is partial to purple so these blues seem to be in that color range.  Not sure my grandson would give his dad a purple card!
Have a blessed weekend and a blessed week!!!

I Did it Creations Hat Challenge #58

I have had problems since yesterday trying to get my pictures to show here and on other blogs.  Did something a little different and it worked.
Hope I'm still in time to post this hat card.  I did what is called Paper Piecing on the hat ribbon.
Image is by Daisy Doodles.

The Bloggers Challenge 216 Sketch

Good Morning All,

Before I start I just want to let you all know Coffee is doing fine!!  We were sure we were going to lose her (even the vet thought so) well we figured she used up two of her nine lives!!  She well, and ornery as ever!!  hank you all for your messages of concern and prayers the really did help!

This  one was a really challenging for me.  I wanted the muted background of the original sketch.  After trying papers colored card stock I settled on chalks.  I think I got what I wanted and alternated the colors.

The Grape image is from TLC Creations and the sympathy is computer generated.   Colored with copics.

That's it hope you all have  blessed weekend and week to come.

Bloggers Challenge 215 Pets

I decided that I would use a picture of a cat because I never seem to talk about my cat.  I almost didn't post it because on Monday she ate some thread.  I am always so careful and make sure I pick up after I sew, and vacuum.  Apparently she took it right off the machine.  She is very sick right now and the vet says it's touch and go....so I decided to post this anyway and ask for prayers for my prescious cat.  Her name is Coffee.  Thank you.

The images used are by Nate Owens and are sold through Squigglefly http://squigglefly.com/ .  He has the most unique images.  Coloring is Copics and paper DCWV.

Blessings to all,
Judy

Picture at the top is my beautiful Coffee!

Bloggers Challenge 214 Make it Shimmer

Good Friday Morning,

Another week another Bloggers challenge!  I am having so much fun with this challenge and enjoy all the wonderful inspiration here.

Where do I begin...this has  two different techniques from Technique Junkies http://techniquejunkies.com.  The first being second layer which is Faux Hand Made Paper (made with actual toilet paper) the second is called Penciled twinks. I  colored the image first with pencils and then painted over with twinks.  Directly under the image I used a cupcake paper and sprayed it with Glimmer Mist Tattered rose.
Then I cut out the image by TLC Creations.  http://createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com

Gingersnap Creations GC101 Cowboys and Cowgirls

Okay Blog is giving me a hard time again today.  I haven't played in Gingersnap Creations  for a long time. I saw this cowboy and I couldn't resist.  The image is from FCD and I just thought it was to cool!! The digital stamp is by Bonnie and she has many more on her web site http://dudetimedoodles.blogspot.com/ Just found out that they also have an Inspiration Challenge that I can enter so this is for May25th Inspiration Challenge
All papers are computer generated except solid blue and it is hard to see but they are all mounted on white cardstock.

Colored with my Copic markers and I cut the bandanna out of another piece of computer paper.  Guess that's all I did wish I had used a TJ technique but didn't realize they were hosting the challenge, until I went to upload it!

Thanks for letting me play.

Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge 213 Inspiration

BC213inspiration Good Friday Morning!
Hope you all have had a wonderful week.  Here it was rainy most of the week.  Figures DH was off this week.  He wanted to work in the yard so much that he actually worked in between raindrops.  When he couldn't do that he was under my feet...Monday please come!!!
Well on to my card.  For this one I went for the colors.  I used the center picture to inspire me.  Wanting it to look more like a water color I chose my pastel shades of Copic Markers.  Going more for highlighting than coloring.  The Image is from Stitchy Bear and the artist Delicious Doodles. www.stitchybear.com .  This site has one of my favorite artist Sylvie Ashton, but I have discovered  more great artists and art here.  Papers are from my stash.  Verse is from TLC Creations.  createwithtlc-createwithtlc.blogspot.com.
This was another fun challenge.  Thank you Lisa www.lisasomerville.com.  For anyone who would like to join in the fun check out her web site for the challenge, of course while your there check out all her beautiful art!!  She has been a big inspiration to me!

Have a blessed weekend and week.

Sweet N Sassy Digital Inspiration Challenge # 2

Sweet N Sassy Digital Challenge 2 Inspirational.

The inspiration for this was the room above  My poor little bug looks all one color but he actually is two colors  a very light green and the spots are a very light yellow. (Copic Markers)    This image is one of the first Digitals I ever purchased from Sweet N Sassy and have several more of her digitals.  This one just is so cute and spring like as well as Birthday so I had to use it.  Great for challenge and card for my church!

Papers are DT papers by K&Company, Brenda Waltons series,  Designer Mat Pad.  I wanted to use rick rack but didn't have any the right color so I made my own out of  the paper.  Buttons are from my stash.  This also uses Technique Junkies technique Whisped  Frames.

Thanks for letting me play along!

Bloggers Challenge 212 Sketch

Good Morning,

Well it's Friday and for many it's the end to a work week, for me, being retired, smile, it is another Bloggers Challenge Day.

This card is really simple but it does follow the sketch. It was made with a Dustin Pike Digital. It's for a little boy named Ryan he has an inoperable brain tumor. He's nine years old. If you would like to send him a card please go to dustinpike.blogspot.com and look for Free Digi and a Call for Cards. Dustin is collecting cards and he will personally hand deliver them.

The bottom yellow layer I did with my Pinking Shears because I thought to much scallop would look a little to girlie for a nine year old boy. Pretty much other than that I think it follows the sketch. Of course he was colored with Copic Markers.

Digi Darla Mother's Day Challenge

Good Monday Morning,

This card was done for a new company (new to me any way). I discovered this through some free digi's she was offering like 20+ and it included some flowers...now if you know me at all you know I love flowers...they are my favorite to color. The chocolate ribbon was inspired by a card I had seen and the chocolate ribbon made it so rich looking. Coloring was with copic markers.
My Mom passed away several years ago...so Mother's Day is bitter sweet for me. I also had two MILs who I adored but they too have passed. So even though I have no one to give this to..I will give it to all three in spirit!!!
Hope everyone had a beautiful Mother's Day!!
Now to give credit where credit is due the company who so generously offered all these free digi's is Digi Darla... and here is the url http://digidarla.com/.
I hope to be entering more challenges now that the school year is ending it's so much fun because not only do I get to submit my card I get to see so many other cards and they are always so inspiring.

Thanks for letting me play along.
Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge 211 Nature

Good Friday Morning,

Today's challenge theme is Nature...when I think of Nature I think of flowers and birds. So I did this Orchid image and little robin. They are both digital images and are Imag-E-nations Just Inklined Digital stamps,
http://www.imag-e-nation.com/ .
Once again they were colored with copic marker. This card not only covers the Bloggers Challenge but will also be used by my church as a thank you card for visiting our church.
Happy Mother's Day to you all!!! Hope you have a special and blessed day!

Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge Color Challenge 210

Good morning again on another Friday. This weeks challenge was certainly that. Going through my numerous papers I didn't have any colors except the blue.

So we will start with the papers (card stock). In order to obtain the correct colors I used my Photo Shop to create the colors I wanted. Green and rose. I printed them out. I decided I wanted a cat background so thus began the search for just the right image. Then I found this one with the cats and paws...I forgot to record the name, of course it was 1:30 am by the time I found it. Now on to the image it is by Andy Bauer (digital) and the perfect saying (for me) is from TLC Creations.

Hope you all enjoy!

I hope our weekend is going to be better than the past few days....rain, sun peek, rain this is how the past few days have been! Of course I have to work today so the sun should be shining brightly.

Blessings,

Judy

Bloggers Challenge 209 Lace or Ribbon

Good Morning, Today's challenge is a bit of a stretch for me because I don't do much lace. I guess I'm a very tailored person. I don't even own a piece of clothing with lace on it! This being said : ) I really wanted to challenge myself...and before I even had read the challenge I went out and bought some lace. All I had here was 2" or wider.

Very simple card Image is from Squigglefly and it is called Jack in the Pulpit. Background is one from TJers but I can't remember the name perhaps on of you ladies knows and wouldn't mind leaving it in my comments section. I traced around the outside edge with green copics and did the same with leaves only I colored them it. I wanted the illusion of a white flower. The lace was the hardest as it took for ever for me to tie ...I'm all thumbs ...especially with wider lace.

I did a second card also because I got my Bigshot machine and of course I had to play with it!! The sentiment is a rubber stampede stamp the embossed images are Cuttlebug embossing folders. The flowers were cut out from the folder. I guess this is my ribbon challenge.

Have a great weekend and a blessed week!!

The Bloggers Challenge 208

Today's Bloggers Challenge was to to make a card or project using this sketch. I had several images in mind but decided to continue with my Spring Theme. This cute little Hedge Hog is a digi . I used the Marble Technique and also a new technique by Technique Junkies called Copic Texturizing, this was used on the pot, grass, and leaves. I wasn't too sure about the orange ribbon until I saw it actually on the card. Some how it works. Have a great and blessed week! Blessings, Judy

Bloogers Challenge Inspiration Photo 207

Ok this is what I came up with. As soon as I saw the photo I loved the tree, the way it was off to the side. Then I saw the small pictures lined up. Of course still dreaming of Spring (next week 60's) I decided to do a nature them of different words that make me think of spring...

So here you go. Digital is unknown (tree) and words are computer generated I used various SU inks and dabbed them on to give the different colors.

Thanks once again for all the comments I have received on my work this group and you ladies are awesome!

Blessings,

Judy

Blogger Challenge 206 Bird

Good Morning...well now that this card is done it is!!! LOL I didn't have time this week but I had in mind what I wanted to do. Just wasn't expecting the time and mess! This is another Pop n Stick image http://www.popnstick.blogspot.com/ and I thought it would be fun to use it for Easter. Her hat was a little too plain so out came the punches and after trying different thing this is what I came up with! Also don't use lace very much so this was a challenge too. The background is a new one from the latest Technique Junkie http://www.techniquejunkies.com/ news letter and it is called Blended Blotches. I had a horrible time with my pencils so I had to revert to crayons (watercolor of course). Instead of using my water brush with water I used it with Irridescent Medium so it has a sparkle to it. Doesn't show it the picture too much. Pigeon was colored with copics Well that's it for today! Have a great and blessed week! Judy

Bloggers Challenge Challenge Sketch 205

Here it is Friday again! Almost didn't make it but I had a little time on Thursday and so here is my card.
I love to stay as close to the sketch as possible...actually this challenges me more than rearranging things. I did however have to move the image over a bit.
I just giggled and giggled when I saw this image on Free Digital Stamps. It is by Pop n Stick..papers are by DCW purchased at Joanns.
Hope he makes you giggle too...it is snowing here right now and I keep thinking if I keep making Spring cards Mother Nature will get the message! Smile

Have a great weekend and a blessed week...

Bloggers Challenge 204 Spring Flower

I'm not sure if roses are spring or summer...but I'm going to pretend because I love roses and love this image!
The image I found on Crafter's Digital Art Center. I don't know exactly who designed it.
Once again colored with Copics and punch is by Fiscars and reminds me of a trellis that I have my roses growing on. The layers are also raised up to give it a 3D look.
Thanks for stopping by and please pray for Japan!
Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge 203 Birthday

Happy Friday everyone. For the Birthday challange I made this card for a boy. The background is done with an oldie but goodie using marbles. It is fun and noisy to make and I love the effect!
I colored the image (sorry I don't know who's it is) with Copic Markers (maybe I should just mention when I color with another medium)...what can I say love my copics!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,
Judy

The Bloggers Challenge

This had been scheduled to post on it's own but that never happened! So here I am on my first sip of coffee trying to redo the post. Hopefully this will be readable when I'm done....
When I saw the sketch, oh my, I'm not good at these semi circle things...and it usually takes me forever to make one and lots of paper. I only had a small piece of this paper that someone sent me a long time ago but I thought it would be pretty for this sketch. Said a little prayer and voila here it is!! While looking for a sentiment I found this one and feeling very blessed (yes even over a small piece of paper) I decided it would be perfect. The sentiment is from TLC and the punch used is Martha Stewart. The edges were cut with my craft scissors.
Have a great weekend...it's raining here (at least not snow) so maybe it will be a good day to play in my craft room!
As always thanks for stopping by and all your wonderful comments are so much appreciated.
Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge 200 Emboss Me

This week I needed a card for my Pastor. So I used the SU Lighthouse set for the main image. I then used the Neutral Shadows from this months TJ Newsletter which calls for the image to be embossed.
Then I used Tempting turquoise and stazon grey to highlight around the image. I then used an other TJ Tech called Rounded Corners. I stamped a few seagulls directly onto the card. One I stamped on scrap grey and cut out and placed in the rounded corner space. Lastly I used Whisped Frame also a Tech from TJ.

This was a fun card and all techs are very easy so it made for a fast card....but also a very classy card if I say so myself!

Have a wonderful weekend and stamp your hearts out!! Spring is just around the corner.

Blessings to all,
Judy

Love Theme Bloggers Challenge BC 199

Here is this weeks card. There were such cute cards last week with birds that I had to do one this week. Plus I went shopping at Michaels and they had a lot of things on clearance. The Paper here is from s.e.i. and the original price I think was $19.99 and I got it for $5.99, such a deal! I picked up a blue packet and a pink packed. It was so springy, and do I ever need that!
Image is from Cat's Scrap Fever (digital) and flower is cuttlebug. Large scalloped edge is a punch by Uchida and the small one I had to cut by hand.
With copics, the bird is colored a pale blue and the perch and bottom light yellow. Both have Whisped Frame.
This is truly a quick and easy card!!!!
Thanks again for stopping by and leaving all the comments on my art...it is appreciated more than you know.

Blessings to all!
Judy

This is a very bright red IRL looks more pink here.
The digital image is from TLC Creations and I edited to make it a silhouette. Cut out are Spellbinders.
Another easy card!

Have a blessed day and weekend!

Hi All,

Here is my Birthday themed card for The Bloggers Challenge...I did get a new printer and although it seems to scan beautifully the colors are not as vibrant as they really are.

I can't remember whose digital this is but it sure is a cutie! Once again and most of the time this was colored with my copic markers..the license plate reads Happy B-Day and was computer generated.

Have a great weekend and blessings to all!!

Bloggers Sketch and The Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenges

Hi All,

I just love this image by Mo's Digital Pencil! I did it once before for a birthday card.

I think hanging out with my girls is one of the most relaxing things to do. They love to get one on either side of me and I just sit a pat them!! Since they are Jack Russels I certainly can't crawl up and sleep on them but quite often while patting them I fall asleep...now that is relaxed!
Papers used are from DCWV "The Pet Stack" . Once again I used my Copic Markers to color the image. The Heart was computer generated. As always thanks for stopping by, can't wait to see what everyone else does with this challenge!!

Blessings,

Judy

The Cheerful Stamp Pad Challenge

Just a quick add here...this was actually done for an ATC swap where I picked reading as my theme. Hopefully neither of my partners will see it here on my blog...they don't usually check it out. I just finished them today!!
I took an image from Liams Pictures of old Books. I then distressed the edges to make it look like a fraying book...sanded the image a little and added a little distress ink. When I saw this challenge I thought what a perfect image to use.
Thanks for stopping by I appreciate all my blog buddies sooooooo much!!
Blessings,
Judy

Bloggers Challenge 194

This weeks Bloggers Challenge was to use yellow green and brown. I still had some of this green out from Christmas and the paper ribbon. So I decided to work around them. I saw this image on Elizabeth Dulemba's coloring pages as her free digital for Tuesday.
I thought it would work good with the green, yellow and brown. I used my copic markers to color the picture and instead of using a circular motion on the large bear I used straight lines. I wanted it to appear shaggier. The background was done with a TJ technique called Cuttlebug Smoosh.
Thanks for stopping by hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying a wonder start to the New Year!!!

Blessings,
Judy
